I think its pretty obvious that this is my situation. My friend and I catch him staring/looking across class or from far away, yet at as he comes closer, he acts like im invisible. And he sometimes talks about me/teases me to OTHER people in class, yet he's never said 1 word to me. Any insight into this conundrum would help a lot. =]

He probably like you a LOT, and even talking to you would require taking an incredible risk for him. What if you shot him down hard, in front of his friends?

Try having one of your friends ask him for his phone number, so you can call him. It may be easier for him to talk to you on the phone, than in person. Then again, perhaps not.

Either way, you'll never know until you give him a chance. Of course, if you don't like him, then you can start ignoring him, he'll keep ignoring you, and you will both pass like two ships drifting past each other on a foggy night.

It's all up to you.

Well, by the way you asked this question I can only guess you are good-looking but have a serious attitude problem. He looks at you because you look good, but he does not talk to you because you come off as mean (you sure do in this question). Maybe try being nice and sweet, because that is what men like.

He's interested, but very shy. Sounds like he probably doesn't have a lot of experience with girls and isn't quite sure what to say or do.

Catch him away from his buddies, you'll have better luck getting him to relax that way. Then take the lead in breaking the ice. He wil probably loosen up after talking a bit.

They boy really likes you. Believe me, he is dying to talk to you. However, he is afraid of rejection.

You don't mention how old the two of you are and if you like him or not. If you do, see if you can run into him when he is alone. That is with out any of the kids with whom you go to school.

Try saying hi to him. See if you can have a conversation with him. Sometimes it takes a while for shy guys to get the point. Be nice to him and see if he is nice back. If he's not, he may still have his defenses up. Give it time.

If you don't like him, don't let it bother you. He's not important enough for you to worry about it.

Hi, Sounds like this guy is pretty shy around you, but talks about you to friends loud enough for you to hear. If you are interested in him why not make the first steps and see if he would like to see a movie and catch a burger afterwords. A Friend, poppy1

He definitely likes you. And somewhere inside there is a rooted fear of rejection, as others here have written. Question is: Do you like him? If so, allow your timing to be impeccable. Don't rush into confrontation with him but instead, over time try to put down his fences. Try to catch him out of the classroom where he mostly hangs out.

He likes you but is shy. He loves the comfort of the distance to admire you! Speak to him a lot and make him comfortable! He will ask you out soon!
