Emergency!
Take to vet ASAP!
If it's straight blood, it's probably cancer (a growth) in the bladder ,... that happened to one of my dear dogs who was 13 yrs. old and it was detected with an ultrasound.
It also could be a severe urinary infection with gall/bladder stones.
WHATEVER, it is very serious and the poor dog is in PAIN.

Go take him to VET now!

Blood in the urine can mean a Urinary Tract Infection, kidney stones, Giardia, many things.

Either way, your dog is in pain and needs to be seen by a Vet ASAP.

The problem with your dog is mostly just that his owner is incompetent and thinks strangers on the internet who can't see the dog can diagnose it better than a veterinarian could.

TAKE HIM TO THE VET!! What is wrong with you? Why haven't you done this already? Stop being cheap and stop wasting time on the computer talking to strangers! Get up off your butt and take your dog to the VET! It is his RIGHT BY LAW to receive proper medical care and to deny it is abuse. Bleeding is NOT normal and you know it!

I don't know and I seriously doubt anyone on here can tell you, that's why you need to take your dog to go see a vet.

my dog had similar problems when he was very old, bleeding from both areas. The kidney bleeding was because he fell down 3 stairs (he was 17) and it caused bruising. It is probably an infection, please see the vet as others mentioned.

Only a vet can diagnose the problem.People on the internet can NOT make diagnosis...1) it is illegal for them to do so 2) no one here on the internet can run/do proper exams or urine tests

Is there any green in there?

If so, he has Christmas pee. This will go away after Christmas... unless he's one of those dogs that celebrates Christmas all year long.
