Hi - The most general answer you will get is "en" and that's right for "in" but there's more to the story.
Like most everything in Spanish, there are lots of ways to say something that even appears to be as simple as this.
Here are some examples where a simple "en" will not suffice for the English word "in."
He went in (the house) -
se fui por aldentro (he went in) OR
se metió (he "inserted himself - he went in)
It's in my wallet - Está aldentro de mi cartera
The doctor is in - El doctor está presente.
It's the "in" thing to do - Es muy a modo
Be here in time to go - Estes aqui al tiempo para irnos.
the expression "in order to" - para - El estudió para aprender - He studied to (in order to) learn.
There are others. That's why the first person to answer said that "in" is not easy to translate. Only with time will you come to understand all the nuances required to know how to completely translate "in" from english to spanish.
Here's a link to help you with the use of "en."

I would say if you are using it to say "come in" it would be "adentro".
You could use "en" if you were saying " I'm in my house." You could say "Estoy en mi casa" OR "Estoy adentro de mi casa." All depends on what you are trying to say. Here is a helpful web site http://babelfish.altavista.com/

Prepositions like "in" are very hard to translate. There could be different ones, depending on the context. Could you give us more information about the sentence?
