The one certainty of the human experience is death. But what might happen when our effort to prolong the inevitable starts to turn that battle around? Will someone, or something, step in to ensure the final outcome? At what point does the cost of survival... become too high a price for us to pay?"

When there is no brain function and a machine does your breathing, your feeding and your urination (dialysis) and your heart beat (pacer)... it's past time to stop.
The bottom line regarding death is when the Lord says "Come now"... no one can stop Him. I learned that many years ago, while working in the Emergency Department.
Death is not something to be feared... unless you have a reason to fear it. One should always be ready to meet our Lord Jesus.
Merry Christmas,

I really don't think that there will be anything that turns the battle around. Nothing man can do anyway.
As far as survival goes, I think that it's going to far to sacrifice others merely for the reason of saving yourself. But that's just me. Others might have another opinion, but I like to think that I draw the line there.

I think the earth its self would take action, We are already over populated what do you think would happen. We would aether stop having children or selectively killing people off. I don't know why people want to live forever, Personally I would just like to have a happy healthy life. Till my time comes

There is no way that will ever happen!!! Nothing lasts forever....except for eternity in heaven!! The efforts to try and prolong life (unless it's God's will) are in vain....It's all in God's time...not ours.

Professor Tipler calls this the "Omega Point".
It will occur in the future and when it does all genetic combinations will be known and reproducible at a very low cost.

This is, unfortunately, an individual decision and none of us have the right to make it for anyone else unless they have asked us to make it for them under certain specific circumstances.

Survival is what we humans do best. We will adapt, grow, and live on. Through any means. . .
