Why don't people realize how hard it is to just be friends with them after they've broken up with you?

because they broke ur heart and dont wanna be mean. i mean, can u really see urself being JUST FRIENDS with someone u made out with and/or possibly had sex with? i sure cant. too many memories. so they just say they want to be just friends -- and dont get me wrong, i know people who have broken up and are good friends. lots of people. so it all depends.
