You lazy bastards... of course the first part of the video is easily explained (**** you whoever said I don't have a spell check) but the end is the clincher, where the two ladies who got their readings switched got ~20% correct, wheras when it was switched again, they got ~90% correct. The total ammount Jeffry got correct was 77%

Very interesting. Too bad the clip got cut off at the end. I'd like to have heard Michael Shermer's thoughts.

The vedic astrologer was taking in body cues and visual cues to hone in on the questionner. He asked very common and vague events framed as specifics.....Something major happened in your life,,.ummm about 3 years ago or so....you changed jobs, you got promoted, someone close to you have died, you moved, your relationship with a loved one changed.....am I right?

Guess what? He will be right 90% of the time. Most people do have some event occur in their life within 3-4 years as he has sampled.

I don't know. The "double blind" test was only done on two people. I think the sample size is way too small. It would be more interesting to see what would have happened if more people were given the double blind.

It's a cold reading, just like what palm readers and psychics do. You basically make vague claims and wait for the patsy to give you more detail, and then ask them about it to make it seem like you knew all along.

Is this the same video you just posted in a different question? I'm not bothering to watch the first unimpressive half of it again...

You must remember that he was never 100% on anyone. It is what it is. Maybe he does have a gift who knows.

It's fake. The video is edited frequently.

Astrology is total bullsh!t.

It's called cold reading. You can do it without stars.
