I have always been an evening person and have a hard time getting up in the morning. I am sometimes depressed when I first wake up and feel awful then once I am awake I am happy. Is this a physical difference in chemistry or make up? My husband wakes up immidately and is bouncy first thing. Why is it so hard for me to be that way?

Your not the only one like that. When I get up in the morning I'm all excited and energized. However, when I lived with my family they perceived my morning bounciness as acting like an @$$. At night I wind down and become less energized while my family become alive. There might be an underlying reason why you get depressed when you get up in the morning. Do you hate your job? Are there certain tasks you hate doing during the day? Try taking this elixir called alive elixir. You can purchase it at any health food store. Its great keeps you energized for hours.

I'm exactly the same. No matter how much I sleep, if I wake up early I feel like a ghost. I think it's because our habits AND our families's habits. My father was also a night person and always talking like waking up early is something bad. I think we need to change that mentality in ourselves first. Like finding good stuff to do in the mornings.

There's really no answer to this. I'm more of a night person too but if I get in a routine for 2/3 weeks or more, I can kind of make myself a little more of a morning person. It has to do somewhat with your internal body clock and the rest I would chalk up to the fact that we're all human, we all have different genetics and we're all wired differently.

I'm the same way. i don't know the reason. my boyfriend is perky like u say your husband is and it annoys me. but most of my moms side of the family is grumpy in the am hate waking up and when we do point us to the nearest coffee pot. with us i think its lack of sleep. we all are very light sleepers who also have trouble falling asleep so we maybe get a total of 5 hours on a good night. i know my boyfriend could sleep through a hurricane or train passing through the house without waking i think its something to do with the quality of sleep.

i don't know but im exactly the same way you are. I LOVE staying up late in the night but then i pay for it in the morning and im so depressed when i first get up. But then once i do my hair, get dressed, put my make up on and eat a little something, i feel better. I don't know why but some people are just morning people. I guess we are some of the non-luckier ones who arent exactly POP-TARTS in the morning:]
