Corn Syrup Substitute

For each 1 cup corn syrup called for, use 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar or firmly packed brown sugar plus 1/4 cup liquid (use liquid called for in recipe).

I think if you boil down the simple syrup a little bit that Bikergal, mentions above you might get the consistency of corn syrup.

you can try a simple syrup...equal parts sugar and water...it will give you the sweetness...maybe not the thickness you need...depends on what it is for....bring mixture to a simmer...until sugar completely dissolves...let cool...
