When people don't understand something, the human tendency is to make fun of it, or mock it. They feel superiority in their own non-understanding. Jesus spoke of his followers being hated and mocked because of his name, and offered comfort.
"Blessed are you when men hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. 'Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their fathers treated the prophets.'" (Luke 6:22,23)
But the true wisdom and knowledge is found in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is in him that we have eternal life, while others scoff and lean on their own wisdom.
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.' Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength." (1 Corinthians 1:18-25)
That though, doesn't give believers license to lord over non-believers their treasure of eternal life. We must do what we can to help guide those that don't believe, those that have fallen to human wisdom, those that seek the miraculous signs. If they don't want it, we shouldn't brow beat them and condemn them to hell. That will be taken care of in the end (John 3:17)

(Proverbs 14:6) “The ridiculer has sought to find wisdom, and there is none; but to the understanding one knowledge is an easy thing.” NWT, cross-ref it to Proverbs 18:15 "The heart of the understanding one acquires knowledge, and the ear of wise ones seeks to find knowledge".
Is wisdom a possession of all people? Proverbs 14:6 states a ridiculer, or scoffer, may seek wisdom, but true wisdom eludes him. Since a ridiculer arrogantly scoffs at the things of God, he fails to gain the basic prerequisite for wisdom—accurate knowledge of the true God. His pride and arrogance prevent him from learning about God and gaining wisdom. (Proverbs 11:2) Why does he even bother to look for wisdom? The proverb does not say, but perhaps he does so in order that others may think that he is wise.
Verses 1 to 11 of chapter 14 in the Bible book of Proverbs show that by letting wisdom guide our speech and actions, we can enjoy a measure of prosperity and stability even now.

One meaning is this: If you go into the Scriptures looking for "so called mistakes" ( as the scoffers do ) you'll find them. But the true seeker of spiritual understanding will find truth and eventually will come to the knowledge that the only "mistakes" are only those passages we do not understan as of yet. We must beseech GOD to teach us! ETC.....

The Bible is extremely difficult for those who have as yet not been truly born again by the water and the Spirit. To them it is just black printed words on white paper, and many try with there own fleshly minds to interpret it. The Word tells us clearly that the Bible was written under the influence of the Holy Spirit, therefore only those who have been truly born again and been filled with the Holy Spirit are able to fully understand it from cover to cover. God prohibits those who are His enemies to uncover His treasure trove of wisdom hidden in His Word.
Therefore this verse is easy peasy. It means those who mock God (the current day Christians who only believe in the blood on the Cross and still have sins in their hearts), are trying to seek after God and His wisdom but He has locked that door and they are unable to open it, because He will not listen to sinners and those who make Him a liar. So when we come His way (The gospel of the water and the Spirit (John 3:5), we are able to understand the deep things of God and can fully understand His Word and what He wants us to hear and learn. So my friend I invite you to log onto our website and download the first few books on the Righteousness of God at www.bjnewlife.org and read all of it slowly from cover to cover. If you will cast off what you have learned up to know and believe in His gospel with all of your heart you will become a sinless, blameless and holy child of God, able to understand these things you are refering to plus many other things.

Those who always find fault; have a negative attitude and think they are wise--generally are not. But those who have taken the time to study; to rightly divide the word of truth; knowledge then comes pretty easy.

If we mock what we do not want to understand,we will never discover wisdom even if it bites us
Wisdom is impossible without love and grace but knowlege makes sense to the one who understands what love really is

Someone who looks for wisdom to make fun of it or discredit it doesn't find wisdom at all, but if you understand other points of view it's easy to find knowledge.

Scorners look for wisdom in the wrong places. All true wisdom comes from God.

A person with a cold heart, an individual that mocks the word of God, will never understand it. But for the opposite, with a open heart and actually seeking knowledge, seeking truth will understand it.
