I dropped my Canon Powershot SD300 and the lens got bent and will not go back into the camera. I am not sure where to send in the camera, or who to contact about this problem. Internally the camera is fine, just the crooked lens piece. I'm not sure if I can drop it off at a local camera shop, or have to send it in to Canon, or have any other options other than that. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Dude if I were you I would replace it before paying for any repair, you will come out ahead. Especially if you buy last years model it will be a much better investment.

Any repairs will be at your expense since you abused the camera by dropping it. The cost will likely exceed the price of a new camera.

Use the Powershot SD300 as a paperweight and begin shopping for your new camera. You should find plenty of good deals now. Use a wrist strap or neck strap with your new camera to prevent dropping it. (I wish I had $1 for every question in here that begins "... I dropped my camera...")

this is advice for life, never ever i don't care if you want it then and there, or just to have it to show of or to say i have it, when some thing 1st comes out a cell phone, computer, camera, tv or anything that is electronic, there is always kinks and and something that is wrong wait about a month, so when people complain the company will hear about it and they can fix it so in the next shipment they will be fixed and by a month it will be completely fine, but i would prefer you go to the place you bought it from and see if they can exchange it and or a refrund, returns can be frustrating so i hope you have a recipt

The best place to actually repair it would be to have Canon work on it (check their website for support). Telling you now though it will cost more than the camera is worth. If you wish to try some simple fixes that sometimes actually work, try:
http://www.e18error.com/repair.html

and this forum has further discussion on the issue:

and if you're very brave, or know someone who's handy with a screwdriver:

If you do go with the brave option, MAKE SURE you read this first:

The SD300 is a 3 year old model camera. If the lens is permanently damaged, then it would be pointless to try to get it fixed.
It would actually be cheaper to buy a new camera.
The advantage of a new model is better image quality & features and faster camera performance etc.

good luck...

Take it to a camera shop which sells Canon.

They'll know what to do.
