They crucified people naked. The put a peg called, appropriately I suppose, pegma, at about crotch level so when people inched up on the wood to try to breath, and got splinters in their bad side, and then dropped again from the pain, they banged right down on the pegma. It was, among everything else, sexual abuse.
Did the people who invented crucifixion, gladiators, and publicly feeding people to lions care about people? I think not.

most probably not. the Romans lived in a time different than ours if people did care maybe just a few of them did, most probably even enjoyed it. it is all because of their leaders fearing that the community would get bored(No TV!!!) or notice something wrong with the system, and revolt against them. the Romans lived in darker times where watching people kill each other in an arena was a past time(extreme version of pro Wrestling hehe) and those people were pagans who believed in sacrifices and punishment.

Oh My God(even though god isn't real) you can feel nails when they are nailed into your hands and you are hanging from them, how does that even work?
But seriously people do worse everyday, look around you the world is a horrible place but be cheerful you are going to die someday.

Not if you didn't follow they belief and law changes to fit there agenda. Crucifixion is just one of the many torture methods to scare people into there way of life. Now they got people walking around with death symbol (the cross)on there necks, thinking its holy. When Jesus said bear your cross he didn't mean wear one but to take the trials and tribulations on in your life though it be bad as crucifixion not to slip.

Of course they cared, otherwise they would have used a less brutal form of execution. It was a deterrent. They left the rotting corpses on crosses by the roads for weeks. The Romans understood what they were doing.

Being crucified wasn't particularly unusual during Jesus' times. In fact, many people endured much more painful deaths than Jesus, suffering for days on the cross.
BTW, it's very unlikely that Jesus was actually nailed to the cross. If he was, the weight of the body would tear his flesh and he would have fallen off.

The Roman's had crazy low crime rates. I bet seeing a bloodied mass nailed to some sticks would make you think twice about breaking the law. good for them.

They obviously didn't care about the people they executed. The Romans devised crucifixion as a means to discourage criminal acts. We all know how well any kind of capitol punishment does that (please pardon the sarcasm)!

no they didn't.
it was a heartless regime, make no mistake.
also consider the day these people lived... war and brutality was among them. they were very assimilated to it.
crucifixion was indeed incredibly bad... and no, they wouldn't put you in a diaper... that idea comes from art. they would in fact strip people naked. the point was that this was an accursed way to die and people died in their shame.

NO! ... as a mater of fact, they created a word to express the pain, " excruciating, " they took pride in being able to cause pain.
