Lately, I've been getting the munchies late at night...
I've had to resort to eating my dinner earlier (around 5pm) so that may be the reason why I get hungry before I sleep.

Besides eating dinner later, what else can I eat to cure my munchies besides the "bad stuff"?

Carrots and celery are munchy. Popcorn and pretzels are two of the healthier munchies. I think you would be okay with a small snack before bed since you did eat so early. Go ahead and eat something dear!

drinking tea kind of makes you feel full, and if you squeeze some lemon into it, it's actually a natural appetitie suppressor, making foods seam unapealing, also, the smell, of pepermint and green apple, ward off cravings, eating them wards it off too, candy canes are a great thing to suck on this holiday season with all those temptations around, and with only about ten calories for about 20-30 minutes of peperminty goodness

Anything high in fiber. A diabetic friend of mine always has a bowl of shredded wheat or raisin bran before bed. Fruit or some crudites with low fat dip are other good options.

Late, I always drink decaf. chai, warm milk, warm chocolate rice/almond milk, herb tea.
AND munch on fruit, nuts, or chocolate if I feel like needing food.

drinking lots of warm healthy drinks keeps me from eating more than I should.
