supposedly space is reciprocal, when you hit the "end" (meaning the farthest you can get from whatever you designate to be the middle before you're going backwards) you just start at the opposite "end" kind of like in pac-man when you go from one side of the board to the other by walking through the hole that leads off screen. Thats what someone told me anyway.

oh, and a mobious strip is like a band that has no inside or outside, google a picture of it if you don't know what I mean.

It doesn't matter to you or me, because you will never reach it. (If it is still expanding at the speed of light, you cannot reach the edge.)

Also, a Mobius strip is a two-dimensional surface which has its ends connected, but has a twist in between the ends. Thus the two sides are connected to one another, giving it, effectively, only one side. It is best illustrated by taking a strip of paper, twisting one end 180 degrees, then attaching that end to the other end. You will be able to draw a single line over the entire surface of both sides of the paper without once lifting the pen off the paper.

From what I understand, space curves back in on itself, so there isn't a "behind" to space anymore so than there is an "edge" to a sphere.

a show on the science channel suggests that "our" outer space is contained in something like a membrane and that other dimensions are beyond that. huh, i don't have a clue! it's probably something we couldn't comprehend.
