Is it just me or are preacher's kids always up to no good?? I dated a preacher's kid and he was pretty naughty.

The one guy I dated wasn't into drugs or things like that but was a tremendous liar and proved to be a player and untrustworthy.

The short answer is No...

Growing up I was the daughter of a Bishop... I have also talked to many other children of clergy people from many different religions... The consensus is , children of clergy people are no more misbehaved or "naughty" than your average kid... The community however perceives them as far more misbehaved, as the community sets the bar higher for them than your average child simply because of the position held by their parent...

When I was a teenager and getting into typical teenage trouble (I.E. breaking curfew, getting a speeding ticket, etc.) always with my best-friend... I often heard "Diane should know better.", "Diane lead Chrissy astray.", etc. etc. etc.. Chrissy was lead nowhere, we were co-conspirators I was simply held to a higher bar of standard than Chrissy simply because of the position my father held...

I don't think that preacher's kids are any worse or better than other kids. But they're held to a higher standard by the general public because of their dad's position in the church.

No they are not. The son of the Pastor at my church is one othe greatest people i know. He goes with his father on all mission trips, including one to Brazil where he got the opportunity to preach (and he was only 15 at the time!). You can see the passion for Christ in him everyday. He is so peaceful in every circumstance and always finds a way to lift people up.

It is like any other category of people. The bad ones get the news, the good ones are told (you are just brain-washed) and the average ones are ignored.

I'm the son, grandson, cousin, and nephew of Methodist ministers. When I was in High School, I was one of the best kids to know. I never drank, smoked, used drugs, had sex, and all my social life centered around the church.

Now that I'm 52, I'm a gay atheist, but that's an adult tale, not one from childhood.
