For the past 3 weeks my thighs have ached and felt some what fatigue/weak. I have not been working out and I was sick for the past three weeks as well. I went to the doctor due to a stomach ache with led me to a ct scan of my stomach. The results showed a pocket in my diverticlem(sp?) I then went to the urologist and they said that it didn't look serious and that it was not a stone. All in all I feel a lot better but my Legs are achy and I don't know why. I am 25 and never had any major health issues. The only major health issues in my family (on mothers side) is diabetes. I have noticed the following lately, dyhydration , seem to be drinking or wanting to drink more often, which leads to more trips to the bathroom. My throat was sore and my glands were swollen as well. My eyes have been hurting some what as well, dry like feeling. I am waiting fo rmy results to come back to see what levels my sugar is etc..Has anyone else experienced this before or have a clue to what this may be? Tks

The pain is in the front of both thighs and thats it...Just tired, throbbing, aching pain. Its almost like having the flu with the aches but this is the 3rd week and its still aching and my eyes also feel kind of itchy and dry. I am going back to the doctor, probably tomorrow and I should have my sugar info back as well. This is starting to freak me out!

Well, usually in dehydration, when it becomes moderate, you don't have an unusual craving for water. True, your mouth gets really dry and your tongue can become swollen. People usually don't experience frequent trips to the bathroom either since they have a lack of water (dehydration) in their system. However, when one does urinate it's usually a deep yellow color of urine (dark yellow) and most cases it has a foul, strong odor. The more dehydrated you are, the darker yellow the urine is. Your lips will get chapped and even your skin will become dry. If you press on the bed of your nails it should turn white. If it takes 2 or more seconds to turn back to it's original pinkish color then you probably are dehydrated. Aches can also be a symptom of dehydration as well as stomach bloating and things of that nature. Hypotension (low blood pressure) is another sign. You can tell also by laying down and taking your blood pressure and then standing up and taking it. It will change drastically (including your heart rate which will probably be weak but rhythmic and fast) between standing and laying down. A lot of the time, a person will have sunken eyes and that might cause pain. Dehydration can also cause "hangover headaches" and migraines. Either way, you should still visit a doctor and see what's up.

Greg sounds like you are dehydrated and if you have diabetes being dehydrated can be serious and cause kidney problems. My uncle is a severe diabetic and he has muscle pains in the legs all the time. Drink alot of water, avoid salt, and keep calling to get those test results. I hope they tested the organ functions with blood work too.

Usually they say going to the bathroom a lot, drinking a lot and dehydration are signs of diabetics. But you never know until the test comes back.

Sometimes when you are sick though it throws you all off and could take months to feel better.

Hey, I've been diabetic for five years and, other than the thirst, never experienced those symptoms. Large number of things it could be. Could be peripheral artery disease. Diverticulitis in your intestines could be causing bleeding. If the intestine gets perforated, it could lead to peritonitis. Go back to your doctor.

wow Greg that sounds serious buddy. Keep a log of all that is ailing you and when (after meals, when you wake up etc.) and go back to the doctor. 25 is too young for these ailments.
Good luck.
