yes, it probably makes them a drunkard but if anyone believes that being a drunk is enough to send you to hell, they need to wake up and take look around. God is not the scary dictator so many think he is. God is love and he forgives every sin. NO ONE goes to hell, there is no hell, because any bad choices we make while in our earthly bodies are not related to the spiritual body we take on when we die and go back to heaven where we came from in the beginning.
got it?!!

Use of strong drink to the point of drunkenness is strongly censured in the Bible. God’s attitude toward drunkenness was revealed in his Law to Israel. A son who was stubborn and rebellious, who was a glutton and a drunkard, was to be stoned to death.

Alcoholism is a disease. And if they drink to drunkeness then they are an alcoholic but if they go for help then they can get better if they are not in denial. It is not a sin if you try to get help for it.

It is from the beginning. If someone drink, even he/she doesn't retch the level of drunkenness, he/she will go to the Hell, if he/she turns of guilt before he/she die.

drinking is not a sin - if it is then Hell is gonna be WELL PACKED of people having one great party!

Didn't Jesus drink wine????? Wasn't wine the 'thing' of the Greek Gods in ancient times???? Don't most religions drink red wine in ceremonies to represent Christ's blood?

OH I hate religious people with 'Holier than Thou' attitudes!

since when was drinking a sin?

sin is not what the bible says it is. sin is repeated abrogation of ones free will. you drink yourself drunk, thats fine, but commit a crime while drunk, and that is what you get in trouble for.

The bible says be sober minded
and it does make references to
drunks going to hell.
It really serves no purpose, yes there are
times when a celebration may be in order
but.... every day???? If your spending the money
on it, and not taking care of your family, or
responsibilities, then I think its a sin.
