I'd rather not go into why I need to trade it in for a new one (so I don't get all upset and angry...)

Bottom line, do I need to have my title from CA DMV in order to trade in my car, or even to sell it? I paid cash for the car, so that sucker is mine. Now I want to trade it in, all I have is bill of sale from the "dealership." (OK, they are a dealership, I just put the quotes for my own reasons.)
Thanks

offered as considered potential no longer something. you have risk-free practices decrease than the sale of products act and your statutory rights. the only word that would impression you is "offered as scrap". The motor vehicle must be extra wholesome for the point for which it became offered. If it became a dealer, then you definately've guarantee, deliver him a letter ASAP, giving him 14 days to treatment the fault, or you will require an entire refund. If he does no longer comply with restoration it, then bypass to the small claims court docket. The case would be desperate consistent with if the fault on the motor vehicle is a few thing which could normally be lined as a guarantee merchandise, and that i'd recommend that an oil leak on the engine falls into this type. stable good fortune, and don't panic!

Yes, you will need the title to trade the vehicle in.

You should be able to call your local DMV and see if the title has been processed yet and when you can expect to get it.

That is all you need from the dealer is the bill of sale. Trade away.

Yes, you will need the title. Without it the buyer has no proof that it is yours to sell/trade.

THAT'S ALL YOU WILL NEED AND THE DEALER WILL DO THE REST BY CHECKING IF ALL IS CORRECT AT THE DMV.
