I would call a reputable shipping service. Don't deal with a company you have never heard of.

Any "Free" advertising service on the internet where you find "cheap" dogs for "adoption" that are to be shipped to you is a scam. They usually go for shih-tzus or english bull dogs or yorkies or other cute puppies.
What they do is have you either mail them the money or paypal it to them, then they tell you the dog will be at your local airport on such and such date. The dog never shows up and you're screwed. You'll never hear from them again.
Don't EVER buy a puppy unless you know who you're buying it from and you know you can trust them and the puppies are healthy.

Don't sell to anyone unless you actually talk to them. A phone call would be the minimum, meeting potential buyers is a good idea. Even then, be wary of people who want a puppy shipped or are buying more than one. Dealing directly with buyers helps weed out people who will use the puppies for puppy mills.
As for your problem, don't sell anything to them. delete any e-mails you have and ignore any future ones. You might want to report it as a scam.

Dont do it !! Its called the overpayment scam . They say they've been buying puppies for an x amount of time and then when you ask where to ship to , they say ship it to my shipping agent . You find theres no usch agency and someone got away w/ your dog . Dont do it if it involves shipping a puppy . Especially at this time of year . Sell the **** zus to someone who can deal with you locally or somewhere within driving distance .

DO NOT continue with this. This is a scam. Never purchase a dog online without going to see the dog in his current home. This guy is most likely a backyard breeder or runs a puppy mill. Both of these are bad. Please please DO NOT continue with this. You will send your money and never get a dog and even if you get the dog it will most likely have a lot of medical and behavioral problems. Do Not continue with this please. Go to your local shelter or rescue and adopt a dog. You will save a dog life and know that you are getting a happy and healthy dog. That guy is a scam artist trying to get your money.

There was something on the Today show recently that covered a story about a big scam with people buying puppies over the Internet. If this is a dog you found on the Internet, I would beware.

This is certainly a scam. I would not sell a dog, if you can not make the transaction in person at the bank. This is commonly called the Ghana or Nigerian scam as this is where it's most commonly used. It has spread everywhere to purchase anything.

Maybe they thought you were gullible since you didn't even know how to spell the breed of dog you were selling.
ADD: puppylove, that's really funny. If you're going to correct someone's spelling, make sure YOU actually spell it right. If you correct them with another wrong spelling, it just makes you look sorta dumb. Just a little tip, there.

They are trying to get a free puppy...the check or whatever will be bad. Do NOT sell to them or anyone unless they can come pick the dog up and pay CASH!
