the religious person belives in God.
the paranoid schizophrenic thinks he is God.
the religious person 'hears God' tell him to pray for someone; or do something kind or what have you.
the paranoid schizophrenic 'hears God' tell him to blow up a bus full of school children OR re-write the Bible.
the religious person believes that Angels exist.
the paranoid schizophrenic tries to have conversations with them.
the religious person believes the devil & fallen angels exist (due to scripture);
the paranoid schizophrenic thinks they live inside his house under the china cabinet.
the religious person recognises spiritual powers (i.e, Ephesians 6:10-20) and prays against them.
the paranoid schizophrenic tries to conjure those powers and have them over for tea.
the religious person 'hears God' in their spirit, as a matter of conscience, and morality.
the paranoid schizophrenic 'hears God' out loud, along with some other people named Fred and Ted and George.
*sighs* it never ends. why do athiests call all religious people paranoid schizophrenics? Are you completely uneducated?
Read the DSM-III-R, then read the Bible. (or study religion) that may help! We MAY be religious, but we are NOT crazy.
*sighs*............. okay, not ALL of us are crazy just because we believe in God; okay??
by the way, this Q really hurts my feelings you know! *sighs*

The schizophrenic has a mental problem. If it is a Christian that you are talking about, the religious person has the Holy Spirit.
