Hi there...more likely your neighbour's cats would rather find something more productive than attack your Yorkie. Cats are rarely confrontational unless backed into a corner. Theoretically, if your Yorkie persistently chased and harrassed her cats, they would likely hiss a warning and if not heeded proceed to swat/scratch the dog to scare him/her away so they could escape.

Depending on the size of the cats versus the size of the Yorkie, I'd say it is entirely possible, even if not highly likely.

I've known some cats to whip dogs many times their size. If confronted by a couple of large, really bad tempered cats, a small Yorkie would be in deep trouble if unable to escape.

Of course, every Yorkie I've ever owned was an arrant coward and would run hide behind my feet if anything responded to their challenge barks. Off hand, I'd say the cats would have to be mighty fast and able to get into very small crannies before your Yorkie would be in serious danger.

Cats generally do not attack dogs regardless of any advantages that they might have over the dog. If they do it is usuall a dog that they live with and they are doing it for play and are not trying to kill the dog. Cats usually are only aggressive towards dogs if cornered. Even if there were a confrontation, most likely the only damage would be a scratched up face which in my experience is not fatal.

Yes it is possible but highly unlikely. The only place that if she cut would be under the neck and the nails would have to go in deep so don't worry. That probably wont happen but just be a little more cautious.
