I have this younger sister who trys to act just like me. I'm sick of it! I will get new clothes, shoes, ect. and she will say they are ugly. Then when I out grow them and she gets them she likes them. She also thinks that because I can wear it she can wear it. She trys to hang out with my friends and treats me like I'm the same age as her. I really like this friend of mine. Everytime I am talking to him she has to walk up and listen . We really don't get along that great, but I still love her and try to be understanding. I just want some space and don't want someone copying everything I do. Please don't tell me to take it as a complement , my mom tells me that, and I have tried talking to her.
Sorry it's so long

okay i can understand where your little sister is coming from i am the youngest of 4 and i always tried to be like my big sister. yes it can be annoying. Your sister just looks up to you so much. You need to try to make your sister understand that she needs to be her own person not you and talk about it with your mother more and let her know it REALLY brothers you and that she needs to ask your sister to give you space. Your sister probably thinks that you Like your friends more then here and even if shes has to bug you and your friends she still gets to hang out with you. try spending more one on one time with her. pick a day of the week to be "sister" day.

You should take it as a compliment. How do you think she feels always having to have your hand-me-downs? You get new clothes and she tries to make the best of getting your rejects. Then, when she does you attack her for liking the hand-me-downs!

Sounds to me that you need to realize how lucky you are and understand what she goes through always being second. If you do not, you may chase her away for good. From the way you act she probably would be better off.

You may think your sister will always be there but when you chase her away you may realize what you had and it will be too late.

go into her room and play dress up with her. show her some cool ways to wear the things she has. then tell her that you will the night before help her find something cool to wear. become her big sister and spend time with her. shes wanting that more then anything else. try to find one day through the week to spend with her doing what she wants. then loan her something of your that not real important to you ,but make her think it is .tell her to take care of it and to show you at the end of the day that she took care of it. it will make her feel like a million bucks. i have 5 older sisters and just being able to be in the room they were in or wear what they had was the neatest thing for me.

My sister is the same way...try acting like her for a while once she realizes what you are doing keep at it for a bit longer, then explain to her that that was how you felt. As for your friend try meeting him somewhere different go to the mall or something, somewhere you can talk. I know you love her, I love my sis too but sometime you gotta do what you gotta do.

Talk to your sister, you look up to you. You should be proud and continue to set the example.
