Bodybuilding is fine, as is seeking higher education or focusing on volunteerism. One problem that comes about with body builders is often they want females that share their devotion and not all women do. Also guys that are really into other bodybuilders tend to not care about women, which is a turn off for females.
If you are a true gentleman that is attentive to your date, I am sure many women will be interested in you.

I wouldn't mind a guy with a nice and fit body. The thing I don't like about extreme body building is the bulkiness. Some bulk is good, some isn't. The more the uglier to me. Plus it comes off as if the guy is very full of himself and big egos are a big turn off for me anyway.

I'm not a lady, but I think a bodybuilder is so much in love with himself, that any normal girl sees it right away.

Guys who are into body building tend to be pretty self-centered. That doesn't bode well for any relationship that involves two or more people. You have to be willing to let someone else into your life. Most body builders are too self-involved for that - to them, a woman is an acquisition, a reflection of how they see themselves rather than a human being with her own needs, thoughts and feelings.

Lifting is great. Bodybuilding has a narcissistic quality to it, and that's always a turnoff. Something wrong with men staring at themselves in a mirror and posing - how are they going to give you any attention, when their attention is all on themselves?

It is a strereotype, but most body builders are so conceited and self centered. Plus the ones that I know expect their girlfriends to idolize their big musles. Personally, it kind of creeps me out that a guy shaves more than I do. More times and more places.

Josh is a gal. Wrap yer mind around it. Muscles mean mindlessness. You spend all your time at the gym to be the "macho" man, and you end up being the "absent" man. In MORE ways than one. You focus too hard on the physical...that's all there is.....the same thing is true of females. Accept it.

A guy that into his appearance is communicating a very clear message about what he really cares about... his looks... your looks... vanity... Are you really so into your self that you are going to build unnatural levels of muscle because you be live it makes you hot because it certainly can't feel good living on eggs and at a stinky sweaty gym. You know what happens to muscle you don't maintain... it does not go away it just becomes floppy gelatinous fat...

From a past experience, body builders spend too much time at the gym and usually are too into themselves to listen to the girls. They're pretty strict with their meals, activities and bed times.
