Well, when you eat food it goes through your digestive system and eventually goes to your small intestine. By then the food is broken down into microscopic food particles by hydrochloric acid. Then it is absorbed into the bloodstream and it travels through your bid with the blood cells. When it reaches the cells that need energy, it absorbes through the cell wall and gets processed by the mitochondria which turns it into glucosamine( which is a type of sugar) and the cell uses it to carry out its individual functions.
