Yes you can file any year tax return with 2007 tax return but do each separately. You can't get a refund for tax year which are not filed for more than three year though. So in 2007 you can file 2006 and 2005 return and you can get a refund if the IRS owes you any money. As the same time if you owe the IRS money for any year you may be forced to pay interest and/ or penalty as well. To file 06 or 05 return you don't need to wait until the filing period of 07 come. Just file them today so that you may save some of the penalty or/and interest.

You could file at the same time as you do for this year, but the 2006 income and other info has to go on a separate return, using 2006 forms. If you have a refund coming you'll still get it. If you owe, it would be better to file as soon as possible, since interest and penalties are accumulating until you file and pay what you owe.

File your return today. If you don't once you file the 2007 return and you are expecting a refund, you won't get the refund until you file any deliquent tax returns. So file today and when you file your 07 return you will get your refund timely.

File them as soon as possible, but mail each year's return in its own envelope. DON'T include your 2006 return with your 2007.
