You are prob to young to remember the Vietnam war. She is hated by (I estimate) 99% of Vietnam vets due to her politics.

I am currently a marine, and It is not a problem. I would not want to be seen in public in my uniform at all, even in my authorized uniforms. I am stationed near DC and if you make yourself stand out in public you could be a target for those who would wish to do you harm. I don't even have a bumper sticker. Even if you commute to base as I do almost everyone has a place called the "brown baggers area" that has lockers and showers. Or you can go to the base fitness center and change before work, or just make sure you have plenty of gas. Most of the time there is a gas station on base anyway. My point is the rules are meant to keep military personnel from being targets from "whatever", the nail that sticks out gets hammered down.

Jane Fonda visited the Hanoi Hilton and actually sat down and spoke with the US Prisoners being held there. She then sat down at a Anti Aircraft gun and hammed it up for the Cameras.Later when asked about the state of the Prisoners she spoke with, she reported that they were in good health and were treated well. She was also passed a note by one of the Prisoners to sneak back to his wife and children,Fonda reported the Prisoner and he was almost beaten to death.Fonda is a Coward and a Traitor to this day.She has NEVER appeared at a gathering of the VFW,American Legion or any other veterans group to apologize. She never apologized to the Prisoner she turned in either.Answer your question???

Jane Fonda visited the Viet Cong (the enemy) during Vietnam to show her opposition to the war. Many , especially the men and women fighting, found that, at least, disrespectful and, at most, treasonous.
