Ok im seriously thinking about taking steroids but im only a 16 male. If your going to give one of those answers your too young leave now. Ok no i don't want to take steroids but im starting to feel its a must, im lets say a phobic of being underweight especially bony, but my fear is becoming a reality. I am 5 foot 3 and only 105 pounds and it ranges from that to 103. Last year i was 5 foot 2 and weighed 110. But no matter what i do im not gaining any weight. I considered steroids as a LAST option but i dont no what to do i go to gym 4 times a week, i take creatone, protein, i have a good diet and yet nothing. And i dont want to gain fat. I see no other way to gain the weight. I researched steroids for a lil while and i got knowledge on it and i no how long to take it before going off it etc... I was just going to go on it for like 4 weeks with a good workout and i dont plan on going back on it once i hit 112-115. Once i hit that weight ill lean myself off of it. So my question is......

I took steroids and it works - but I was 24 when I started and had been training for a year. It is also a legal substance in the United Kingdom.

Steroids eventually turns into ESTROGEN, WHICH STUNTS YOUR GROWTH - hence the reason for why girls are generally much shorter than guys because they produce a large amount of estrogen naturally that prevents their long bones (femur) from reaching an unnatural height. No bodybuilder would ever recommend taking steroids at such a young age. Surely you must want to reach your optimum height. If you decide to continue you must take anti-estrogen and plenty of it - e.g. clomid. You won't achieve that much with just 4 weeks - even with Androl or Testosterone Ethanate and the gains that you do make will probably be lost by your 8th week - that happened to me when I first started.

You haven't said much about your diet - what does good actually mean?

I have a very hard time gaining weight as well. As a matter of fact, I lose it quite fast and have to fight to just gain 1 lb. I understand you, but I don't suggest taking steroids. The side effects are great and you will regret ever taking steroids as you get older and the side effects are visible. Go to a nutritionist and have them make an eating plan for you. If not, you might want to consider going to your Doctor and having some tests done to you (a blood test and a thyroid exam, etc.), there may be something wrong and it could be treated in the Correct Way, instead of making it worse (damaging your organs and so on).
Honestly speaking, you might like the results (physically speaking) of taking steroids and once you are hooked, you probably won't back off it. Also, you are in a growing phase, don't forget that. Think about it hard and wisely!!!

Please listen very carefully to what I write. IF you take steroids at your age, there is NO safe limit, for they will close off the growing plates of your bones, and there is NO way you may ever grow taller. Taking steroids now will leave you permanently impared as to the production of natrual testosterone down the road...are you willing to trade sex drive for muscle at your age???? I know what I am talking about. AT 25, you can safely take mild testosterone therapy for weight training (illegal, but no need to go into that now) and most of what you find out there is conterfiet, and may not be sterile, causing serious infections...but very careful what you wish for. IF you worked out smart, you would develope at an incredible rate. Instead of spending all this money on suppliments, you might look around for an older trainer who has the body you want, then pay him to train you....do not hire a trainer who does not have a good build, for it is obvious they do not know what they are talking about. steroid growth is temporary. Once you stop you will lose the weight. Steroids are also known to stop your natural growth at such a young age. You need to eat a lot of "meat and potatoes" type of meals. Good old fashioned high protein. I wouldnt worry about the low-fat foods and getting fat unless you start to get overweight, which since you're young and your metabolism should be able to burn a lot food. 3 or more meals a day. Dont bother with creatine at this stage you're in.

Sorry, kid but I am going to give you an answer you won't want to hear. Steroids are dangerous and you can gain weight if you work hard enough at it. If you go to the gym 4X a week, and if you are doing weight training there is NO way you aren't gaining muscle mass. Maybe a trainer could help you, but steroids isn't your anwer.

Don't take steroids. Do your research on some of the side effects. It might sway your decision.

Anyways, the easiest way to build muscle is to eat the right foods. There are tons of natural health foods out there that are great for healthy weight gain. You just have to do your research.

Don't feel like you don't have anywhere else to turn.

steroids or not the diet is what builds muscles, steroids are only artificial hormones. this is why bodybuilders have such high calorie diets, steroids only expedite the muscle building process.

i've seen dozens of people fail at steroid cycles over the past years due to improper diets while on cycle. steroids are not the "magic bean" that the ill informed televised media reports.

if you aren't counting cals then you aren't doing everything possible. counting cals makes gaining weight so easy. you simple keep increasing them by 10% each week until weight gain occurs. then start to monitor your body fat bi-weekly to make any needed adjustments.

go see some dietitians or some nutritional specialist first, they do more than just control people with over-weight problems. They can help you safely put on healthy weight, don't get into steroids until you understand why your body is the way it is, trust some professionals, they could actually help. Your parents Health Insurance should cover these visits

I just had a discussion about this in class (I'm in nursing school) The cons of steriod use majorly outweigh the pros. I wouldn't recommend taking ANY steriods for ANY amount of time. You'll be more prone to acne, have mood swings, and your penis won't work...its just really bad for you. Your 16-of course your body is going through some changes right now & you will probably not have this small body type for long. Just wait it out kid. Your probably way hot just as you are!

This is why you should NOT take steroids no matter your age

Side Effects of Steroids:

Testicular reduction (the testicles shrink)

Inability to achieve an erection

Hostility (remember the wrestler that just killed his wife, kids and then himself?)

Osteonecropsy (the ends of the long bones will lose the blood supply and die. You have to get a joint replacement or you die of gangrene - I personally know 2 people who went through this.

And YES, it can make you infertile with continued use. Even use for a short amount of time can make you temporarily infertile.
