Whenever I make the Adobe Reader to go to full screen mode the page layout changes to "fit page" mode and consequently the font size decreases and hence it is very difficult to read ebooks.Is there anyway to increase the font size or change the page layout to "fit page" in full screen mode

Shortcut keys are the answer.

Ctrl + L to go in and out of Full Screen Mode.

Ctrl + 1 - Actual Size
Ctrl + 0 - Fit Page
Ctrl + 2 - Fit Width

All these plus more are listed in the View -> Zoom menu
