No, nothing. They deserve nothing. Because of their parents, they, too, are illegal criminal aliens.

Why should we have to give their kids financial help when our own kids can't all afford to go to college? Particularly when under financial need grants those with 'off the table' income are always going to be poorer on paper than those who have been following income reporting laws?

I could go with a limited version of a dream act with NO waivers for 'family unity' or other screening rules (crime, etc) if it were only for those under 25 and who had been here for some time before NOW (not a rolling entry period offering amnesty and education subsidies to those who just came or come in the future.)

However, they market these exceptions for the sympathetic case then never restrict the law itself to the sympathetic case, and we have long since started reading the boilerplate of the bills.

We are very specifically NOT educating the young people in the smaller communities in the out of way places in our country beyond high school. The Dream Act moves to provide that education to the children of people who broke the law, and it most certainly does NOT help our young citizens who are NOT being educated as they should be.. and should be long before we start educating the illegal aliens.

The Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act 2007) was introduced, but failed to gain enough votes. The Bill is gone, so to speak.

No. Even being born in this country doesn't give us the right to get help for college, why should people who weren't? No one is guaranteed help. Work hard, save, pay for it a few credits at a time. Take loans if necessary. Things have to be earned here, they aren't just given away.

the DREAM act would not qualify illegals for financial aid... it would allow them to work legally while they go to college so that they can pay for their own education

did anyone actually read the text on the bill??? or did you guys just take for granted what Lou Dobbs said?
The text stated specifically that they were to be EXCLUDED from financial aid programs

Not in the United States, perhaps back where he belongs they'll be happy to help him through a college or university in his own country. Thanks for asking.
