Leave the fad diets alone, EAT HEALTHY and EXERCISE! Follow the food pyramid and count your calories and fats. You'll need to set yourself a caloric daily limit - try to stay under that and limit your fats. You don't want to completely eliminate them - stick with the good fats - avocados, nuts, etc.
Here's an example:
Breakfast: Special K w/ 1% milk & banana, OJ
Snack: Apple & mini 3 musketeers
Lunch: Wrap w/ turkey breast, fat free cheese, lettuce, toms, avocados, and a piece of fruit.
Snack: pretzles & peanut butter
Dinner: Whole Wheat pasta w/ stewed italian tomatoes & chicken breast. Salad - easy on the dressing!
Snack: Fat free pudding
Just stick with lean meats and watch those portions - eat all the veggies you want, remember carbs turn to sugar. Choose good fats and fat free items. You can easily do this - try it a few days - I strongly recommend you keep a diary - it truly helps you stay on track. And, don't forget those sit-ups and jumping jacks!
Good luck!

Don't do the cabbage soup diet again! Losing weight and keeping off it means a lifestyle change. Weight Watchers has a great program. It recommends eating lots of veggies, fruit, lean meat (not fried or breaded) or just basically a balanced diet with moderation. You can easily lose those 28 pounds and maybe more by then. Good luck!

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

EAT LOTS of GOOD FOOD! No cereal for breakfast, eat soup, good home made soup. No diet bars for mid-morning snack, eat an apple with peanut butter on it. Don't eat a sandwitch for lunch, have a big @ss salad with lots of DARK greens in it. Don't touch the dinner roll, eat a couple more helping of good lean meat and top it off with more veggies. Drink drink drink all day long. EAT YOUR SELF SLIM. Diets are for dummys.

Take all the carbs that you've been eating while maintaining your current weight and replace 50% of those carbs with fiberous veggies (ie. broccoli, spinach). Then as you lose weight slowly increase the amount of fiberous veggies in your diet until it replaces approximately 75-80% of your carbs. Slowly increase cardio after you've altered your diet and continue to lift weights.
