talk to him and tell him, and then you will know what he wants and he will know what you want and if he doesnt want to get back with you then you can move on

Yeah he probably has residual feelings for you, but I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that he's crazy about you just yet. Maybe he just wants to make sure you're not dating anyone else...kind of keeping a claim on you. The best way is to talk to him outright if you're comfortable with that and if you're interested in him as well.

He tells you he loves you, what more do you want? How can you ask, "does he still love?", when he tells you he does. What's the problem? Do you need an engraved invitation?
