take your parents room and hang pictures, or posters that you like, that'll help hide the ugly paint. You can also change the lightbulb to a dimmer one or even a different color to change the effect of the ugly red walls

Who cares what the walls look like, come on they are giving you a chance to have your own room. I would take the room. If you dont like the walls you can put pictures and posters on the wall and cover the red.... Take the room i would.....

Take your parents room! Anything to get away from a sibling, and a problem that small can be resolved - put pictures or posters up on the wall to cover things up!

How many rooms does your house have?
Secondly are they going to be converting a garage? If so ask if you can bunk there and PAINT!
If they offered, tell them you love them and say no - Your sister wont be home forever and neither will you, but Red walls would give me night terrors

Don't take your parents' room. Don't even think of it. You'll never forgive yourself when you get older and more mature. Your parents are really putting themselves out there, offering this to you. Learn to stand on your own two feet. If you can't do that just yet, toddle along with roommates and stay in the background for now. When you get on your own two feet, get a place that is YOURS. Even if you have a piece of plywood on top of a milk crate for the dining table, invite your folks over for a dinner of macaroni and cheese. Get into the mindset of doing for yourself. Don't go back to the roost, and certainly DON'T TAKE your parents' bedroom! Grow yourself and get out there! Good luck, sweetie!

Take your parents room and put up a lot of posters. Or do something creative like take apart your favorite magazine and put the pages up on the walls.
