A dog door for the back porch. That way I could open the kitchen door and let the dogs run out into the run then come back into the porch and "knock to come in.

I would like to get engaged for Christmas my boyfriend has been talking about it a great deal lately, but my dog would not be so happy for that. But my dog has two stockings that he likes them to be filled with treats and bully sticks. He also wants many stuffed toys that he only gets at Christmas and birthdays. He gets news balls and squeeky toys and more blankets. He also want gift certificates to his favorite petstores anf more yummy treats and chews. I do not have kids so at Christmas I spend about $200.00 on him. He gets what he wants and deserves.
Besides that we both want all poor shelters animals to find loving new homes.

This year we bought all of us a big dog crate-a Subaru station wagon that fits all the seven dogs at the same time.

For small gifts, we like to get home-baked dog treats, fancy collars and leashes, polar fleece, and our mom likes to get the next year dog calendar of one of her favorite breeds.

Now, remember, the following is ONLY for emergency purposes and for a period not to exceed six-eight hours/day. The emergencies can consist of contractors working in your home (painting, remodeling, drilling, hammering, etc., that may stress your dog and make him/her nervous), visitors who may be extremely allergic to pet dander, and those who may fear dogs...no matter how trained or gentle they (the dogs) may be.

A beautiful custom built, log cabin-looking doghouse; and, raised at least eight inches off of the ground to avoid moisture getting in; but built on a specially paved brick "doggie" patio and matching runway leading from my home to his home.

The runway would be at least four feet wide with a two-foot picket fence along the way that leads from my home directly to my dog's away-from-home home. The runway (brick paved walkway) will have pretty shrubs planted alongside the picket fence to enable my pet to 'relieve' him or herself in a familiar environment, as we do. It will also deter my dog's feet from getting mud and other debris in the paws and hair.

The doghouse would be heated and insulated and have at least one window on two sides (left to right of the entrance door that will have a closing flap to keep the warmth inside and the wind and other elements outside). Of course, I would provide some of his or her favourite toys with which to be entertained and help pass the time. I may consider placing a monitor and/or survelance camera in it to observe any strange noises that may occur (i.e., other dogs or animals, intruders trying to "obtain" my dog without my permission, and/or to monitor any changes in my pet's health during that period of time).

I would NEVER leave my dog in this doghouse envrionment over night nor as a means of punichment!

What would I and my dogs like?

Well this year I'm thinking about splurging on a 'doggy doorbell' for inside and outside. Thought it was a cute idea and also very useful.

I'd like to get a nice, big heated bed for my lab and chinese crested to curl up in after going out on our winter walks. They're darn expensive!
