My actual urine was normal colored, but I would also pee out slightly syruppy-bown. Theres no pain. I think that the brown stuff has stopped coming, do I need to go to a doctor?

I am not on my period at all.
This occurred for a week to two weeks.

Yes, see a doctor. If the urine is thick this would indicate infection and the darker color is probably old blood. Urine should be clear to pale yellow in color and water consistency without cloudiness. How long has this been going on or was it just the one occasion? If just once, drink a few glasses of water and see if it clears up.

Tara makes a very good point, I guess I just assumed you knew it was coming from the bladder.

Then yes, you need to see a doctor for accurate diagnosis.

This may sound obvious and really stupid, but are you sure it wasn't coming from the hole directly behind where you pee? Have you ever gotten your period before? If not, that could be it b/c when you first get it it's usually more of a brown than a blood red.

See a doctor. There are dozens of causes for dark urine and most of them require treatment. Or it could be something simple like you ate fava beans.

It means that there is blood in your urine. See a doctor or an OBGYN immediately.

yup, could be period, could be you aren't drinking enough water. If there is no discomfort associated with urinating, I doubt it's an infection.
