I am attending a very formal Christmas party tomorrow with my husband. The party is being hosted by a very important client. What would I do if we get there and someone was wearing the same dress that I was?

just politely go to that woman, and say "I see we both have very good taste!"
i say this because it will break the tension between you and the other person wearing the dress, and it will lighten up the atmosphere..
trying to avoid a woman wearing the same dress will only make you feel uncomfortable...this may lead to all other sorts of problems...

This question reminds me of one time when I went to the opera, and a woman in the audience was wearing the same dress that was featured in the advertisement on the back of the program! I wouldn't worry about it; chances are slim.

You should walk right up to them and say "My you have marvelous taste!" and smile. There is nothing else you can do. Grace is not about never falling, it is about getting up with grace. If you can be charming and kind in the face of adversity, make everyone feel at ease with an awkward situation and make people laugh when they want to crawl in a hole and die - well, sugar, then your a princess. :)

The best thing to do is to acknowledge it to the other person....giggle about it and try not to act like it's the end of the world...cause it's not. Have fun!

I would go up and introduce yourself with the person and act like your long lost sisters. You mine as well have a goo laugh instead of being embarrassed about it. :)

When you get a chance to talk to the lady who has the same dress, say, "I love your dress! it's the prettiest one here."
