A temp from temp agency is new on assignment and says the following:
1. All these folder/files on the desk are driving me crazy. I want to organize this desk.
2. I want to move all these files and folders around on the desk without knowing the reason why they are in a particular spot.
3. Tells the boss "Will I see you on Monday" when leaving for the weekend.
4. Tells the boss "I will see you tomorrow".
5. The boss notices she goffs off if told by boss, she will be in late in the morning or from lunch.
6. Goes on company website for personal banking when told to do some job in particular.

Are 1 and 2 appropraite for a temp?

No the temp should ask if the boss would like the files organized and in what order.

1. No...at least, not at first, and not until you've been there long enough to get a sense of whether your offer of organization is welcome. I had a temp who helped me organize my office in addition to the regular duties she had, to me it was WONDERFUL as this is not my strong suit and she really had a knack for it..but if she had said they were "driving her crazy" on her first day I would have called the temp agency and said she's not working out, please send me someone else.
2. Makes no sense to do this, obviously since he/she doesn't know what they're there for
3. Is this a question, "Will I see you on Monday?" Can't blame the person for wanting to get a sense of whether he/she will still be needed there on Monday.
4. Normal, if the assignment lasts longer than one day.
5. Not good...you're paid to do the work, not goof off, and being a temp especially, it's easy come, easy go
6. If this is allowed at all, should be done on own time.

Sounds like you have some frustrations with this temp.

i do no longer think of a million and a couple of are that severe. It sounds like she needs to be prepared. As for #6, NO, that may no longer suited from a temp to be doing. the 1st element they permit you already know is that the information superhighway is to no longer be used for inner maximum business enterprise only related to the project. 3 and four are not a huge deal the two. i'd have somebody refer to her relating to the information superhighway, yet who's conscious, they'd have a tracking device on the community already and he or she would desire to be digging her very own grave. That occurred to my cousin who replaced into on an project by using an company and that they fired her. *you will desire to probable pay greater interest to what you're doing and not what she's doing. enable her pay for her very own errors. except her movements promptly influence you i would not project approximately it.
