this christmas all i asked for is the lg voyager. my contract ran out last week and i want new phone since my old phone is really beat up and scratched (i used it for 2 years.) i am a young teen. my parents said i am definitely NOT getting the voyager. i wont settle for any other phone because i want the phone i love because i'll be stuck with it for 2 years. i cant work and i cant help them pay. my parents have very good jobs and are very wealthy, but they still live in the dark ages. we have 14 inch tv's and a 1998 computer. i am very stubborn and i cant find anything else i want as much as the voyager. how can i convince them to get it for me? (it's not money issues it's stubborness... i guess it runs in the family) ugh i know christmas isnt about gifts and i really do love Christ and adknowledge him on christmas so don't lecture me. thanks.

I wouldn't lecture you about Christ. Your reauest has nothing aobut him at all.

You are spoiled!! Just because your phone is "beat up and scratched" your parents are supposed to go out a buy you a new phone. When you are old enough to work you are old enough to get "the phone you love" UNTIL THEN DEAL WITH A SCRATCH OR TWO!!

Why should your parents fork out the big bucks for an I-phone knockoff with all of the expenses attached for the duration of the contract?
Tech-toys are not the priority that your parents must concentrate on.
They are probably more worried about putting some money into savings, keeping a roof over your heads, clothes on your backs and food on the table. If they are doing all this without racking up debt, snaps up to them!

Just get the basic camera phone that comes with the contract and be grateful.

how dare they hold out on you, tell them giving is christmas's middle name not greedy, if they can afford it you should get it, cause you will not be a teen forever and one day they will ask you for something even if it is just your time and maybe you will say no and how will that make them feel? like crap , tell them you will not stop until you get it and if it makes them feel better tell them you will pay them back when you are 30 good luck
