Not A because Osmosis is for water only.
Not B, its not a cycle
Not D, because it does not need help

Its C because naturally,"stuff", in your case sugar, wants to move to areas of less concentration. It would move through the membrane without any help, therefore it is passive transport.


More Info: Diffusion is the net movement of material from an area of high concentration of that material to an area with lower concentration. Since diffusion moves materials from an area of higher concentration to the lower, it is described as moving solutes "down the concentration gradient" (compared with active transport, which often moves material from area of low concentration to area of higher concentration, and therefore referred to as moving the material "against the concentration gradient).
