For starters if God had a message to deliver why not choosing China to deliver it? It would have spread to many more millions of people more rapidly. Or why not send multiple prophets simultaneously to all ethnic groups?

By the way the same applies to all religions since they are all ethnically based.

God is a name men use to justify their own righteousness. If people didn't use God's name to kill and control others, they would have to admit their own intentions without a supreme excuse.

As an atheist, I feel pretty strongly that the definitive answer is no, christianity is not a fraud.

Whether or not Christ was the child of any supernatural deity, he had a pretty good message: be nice to other people, everyone is equal, give more than you take, that sort of thing. Other people have tried to spread that message before, from all sorts of different ethnic groups, including china, india, and so on. The fact that Christianity took off and became the dominant religion of the Western World I think is a combination of coincidence and opportunism: the Romans controlled Jerusalem while Christ was alive, so christianity grew in popularity in Rome until it became the official religion of the state, and the Romans inevitably conquered most of Eurasia.

The fact that most modern christians (read: rightwing conservatives) have lost sight of the message in favor of the dogma is unfortunate, but I think that has more to do with the involvement of the Catholic Church (centered in Rome, coincidence?). The principle was in the right place from the start, and I think a lot of christians are just trying to be good people. In fact, if everyone on the planet were more like Christ, it might turn out to be a decent place to live.

Not without saying the all are. God or Gods is present in many different cultures. the one thing you need to know is religion was created by man. He did sent people to different places it is just that people put their own spin to what they want. Creating all the different religions out there.

This is what I believe some may not agree with me.
I believe that no religion is bad or wrong just different.
I just think that the faith you have in your God is the important part.

Not all religions. Just all religions well known to you. You have to be careful making statements like that, they might backfire on you...

Anyway... see? If you give people time enough, they do come to the right conclusion eventually. Christianity is a fraud. There is still hope for humanity.

There's about ten million plotholes in the story, yes. God could not have created everything for he was neither the first man alive or the first to die, nor did mankind at all come first. He cannot love everyone for he does not support two people in love.

It really all depends on your beliefs though - if you think that the person deserves all the praise for all his heroism from the stories, then believe it. I think Chinese gods are the best (no ethnic preference here since I'm atheist) since (most) were actual people who did actual things to make the world that much better.

I believe because the eyewitness testimony of Jesus life, ministry and miracles recorded in the gospels is convincing to me. Read them for yourself and see if they're convincing to you.
