i have done so much research and i have presented them with so many facts. i told them all the benefits etc. but still every time they go shopping they buy the sugery cereal, pasta, pie basically junk food. is there some sort of tactic that will work or should i do it on my own and prove that healthy eating is the way to go.

You buy the food and don't take anyone with you. Find ways to make the foods you eat healthy. I think there was an author (maybe more than one) who added healthy foods by being sneaky. You might check out how she did that.

Well first of all Pasta is not bad all the time, carbohydrates are essential to your diet. It's time for tough love though. First of all start showing them the nutritional labels and the sugar amounts, and tell them about the risk of diabetes. The go on about calories and trans fat and heart disease. Scare the living **** out of them.

No. People have to want to eat better in order to get them to do so. I have tried to get my mom and dad to eat better for years, but they only now are starting to come around -- I think partially because they have seen the weight that I have lost and how well I am doing. So eat healthy for you and try you best to get them to come around. It's harder for them to listen to you when you aren't practicing what you preach.
