you did not press long enough, pressure must be applied for at least 15 minutes, sometimes 20 to stop bleeding. Have you had a tetanus shot in the last seven years? If not, you'd better call your doctor and get one pronto.

don't press on it! Assuming it isn't a major cut, in which case, go to the hospital! - but just a small cut: wash it under running water for a few seconds, wrap a clean napkin or something around it, lift your hand up over your heart to let the blood flow out of your hand. Put a bandage on it. If it continues to bleed a lot after that, it's either a deeper cut than you think or you have some problem clotting. Call a doctor or go to the hospital. Good luck

Small Cut Wont Stop Bleeding

Ooo that happened to me last week when I cut my finger on a can of green beans! My suggestion is to first, rinse the cut well and then put some neosporin or something similar onto it to keep the germs out. Then find some gauze or use a papr towels or somthing and wrap it up very tight and apply presuure for about 10 minutes. Then when the bleeding has slowed down, put a bandaid on tight on the cut. Hope all works out well for you.

You need to apply firm, constant direct pressure for at least 15 minutes without peeking at it. Also keep that arm elevated above your head. If after that it continues to actively bleed you need to go to the ER for stitches. There is no reason at this point to worry about a blood disorder. Razor cuts can be deeper than they look and just need to be closed with sutures to stop bleeding. You may also need a tetanus booster, ask your Dr.

Pressure, stop typing on the computer would probably help. Then if it doesn't stop you might need stitches. When you are holding pressure, hold the finger up higher than the level of your heart which means....stop typing on the computer 'til your finger quits bleeding and possible go to ER.

Go to the emergency room. You need a medical opinion. It must be a big cut if it won't stop bleeding. Fingers usually bleed alot because of all the blood vessels in your hands and fingers.

First thing first you need to apply pressure to the cut to stop the bledding then after the bleeding has stopped see how deep it is if you need stiches or if you can just put some neosporin on it and a band-aid.

If you have medical spray (for injuries), spray some, then wrap it. You should be scared if it DOES suddenly stop bleeding. Just ignore it until it heals. Play videogames or something, when I'm looking at the computer I forget about the huge bloody bruise I have on my knee currently (that you've reminded me of).

Apply pressure and keep your finger above your heart. If it doesn't stop bleeding go to the er.
