Yes. A disability is something that inhibits a person from accomplishing everyday tasks. In the case a ADHD, a person may be inhibited by the disorder in academic or social settings due to hyperactivity or short attention spans.

There is much more to ADHD than is simply stated here.

For more information on this disorder, click on the link below. It's the official ADD/ADHD website. I got my information from this website, including the terms "disability" and "disorder."

I hope this helps. :)

EDIT
My mistake, disorder.
END EDIT
Atention Deficet Hyperactive Disorder
Still people, they just happen to have a tag on them.
80% of people (look it up) have things of varing strengths, Tagged or not.

I wouldn't be surprsied if most people tried to deny it though, and it's not like it matters if they can deal with it themselves.

I don't see why haveing the name makes it worse. You are still you, and still have the same strengths and weaknesses you did before.
I have plenty of such things, I hit the genetic jackpot.
They can also be used to help you though..
OCD can be turned to help you stick to something till it's perfect, no matter how much you hate it..
like exercise.
very helpful
*shrugs*
Also bad.
but normal also has such things.
double edged.
you have it, so take it and learn what you can with it.
Reft~
PS EDIT to those above, and likely below
I also have ADHD, and I don't care if you don't buy it, because if I meet you, I may not bother to tell you, so it's not an excuse, it's something I have tested myself.
I am glad to have it. I can see two sides of things now. Even if it is anoying with other things.
By the by, telling people you don't beleive they have it, it can do two things.
nothing
or hurt them.
so don't say it.
I am alright, but I can tell others who have it, and so I talk about it, and haveing no one beleive that they are different, it can really hurt.
If your leg can come out deformed, why can a mind not be changed to? are they all going to either work as if vegitables or perfect? is there no mid ground?
*shrugs*
suit yourself.
I suppose I had some anoyance that you (in a few answers, not the question itself, hahaha) say so freely you don't buy it.
But it's not from that you won't believe me, it's from the general concept.
Hmm..I'm rambleing...x)
sorry.
I tend to do that.

The term disability is defined differently by different laws and regulations.

Often ADHD is referred to as a disorder.

In practical terms (layperson's terms) ADHD is a real, lifelong disability for some of those with ADHD. ADHD can be mild, moderate, or severe.

It's not a disability by itself, it's a disorder. A disability keeps you from a normal life function. ADHD is a problem that can be worked with and its effects reduced with medication or even a change in diet.

It can be classed as a disability, I would refer to it more as a difficulty. Depending on whether the person with ADHD has other disorders as well.

It is more common in children than adults, so it can be 'outgrown' or symptoms diminish with age...

I know people who have this and it effects their attention and concentration span. This directly effects their ability to learn, work and at times, function well in society. So it can be very debilitating.

I also believe it can be managed very well with diet and lifestyle choice and does not necessarily require amphetamine based drugs to control.

Legally yes, but I question how many people (particularly kids) that are diagnosed with ADD or ADHD are really that. Some teachers are so impatient they complain to the school nurse and then they decide every student has ADD or ADHD.
