I, for one, am so very appalled and very sick and tired of illegals' crybaby attitude.It is time for them to wake up and smell the coffee!They are in our country illegally! They do not deserve anything from us — not free medical care, not a free education for their illegal children, not any kind of social services.They come here and abuse our system, have more illegal children in the hope of being able to stay here, and insult us and our country by not learning our language. We should not have any "press 2 for Spanish" options We should not pay for you to learn English — it is your responsibility to learn English!You have broken the law and gotten into our country illegally. Then, when you break more laws and get caught, you cry foul. How is it wrong if you are stopped for driving without a tail-light or turn signal, or if you are speeding? Why do you think you should not be stopped if you are breaking the law? What makes you feel so special that you should not have to abide by our laws while you are in our country?If you are not completely fluent in English, you should not drive at all — because you cannot do so safely if you cannot read signs.Go back to your country of origin and stay there until you can come to the United States legally and be able to support yourself and your family! Learn English and learn American laws, and be ready to live by them.

First off, HOW would you need fluency to "read" a sign??? The point of having them in different colors and shapes is that they are universally understood. Think of the signs that have no words at all. That is just silly. So, tourists shouldn't be able to drive here either? Duh.

Secondly, I am not offended by people not learning English. Learning another language is not easy, and, while I agree that they SHOULD learn it, I also understand that life is full of people that WANT to do something but are incapable of doing so. I don't take personal offense to anything that someone elects to learn- or not to learn.

Lastly, Who exactly are you writing this letter to? IT would be my assumption that anyone that CAN'T read English wouldn't be reading your post on yahoo answers......
