I would talk to my father about it and have HIM deal with the teacher.
To be honest, my daughter has had difficulties in School on various occasions and it didn't even involve religion and I went up there and straightened it out. If it were about Religion, and I really had a strong belief about it, I would be in there in a half of a second. You would NOT have to do it if you were my kid. (Some of the teachers at my daughters school, see me coming and dodge out of the way- They know I don't back down on certain issues. LOL)

It depends on what you mean by, "... wrote her off." If all you did was give her an eye roll and turn away. Then no, I would absolutely not apologize. i would tell your father what she said and that the teacher wanted you to apologize. If a teacher spoke to my child that way, it would definitely be the last time.
Let me be clear for the thumbs down clickers: Your teacher deserves respect if she is at least willing to show you the slightest bit of respect. If she is not, then you can be "pleasant" but people who have poor character do not "deserve respect" just because of the position they hold. Unless you're in the military or a courtroom, then you just pretend to respect them.
Now, I know I'm ticking some teachers off but, so what, you are biased.

I am an Adventist so I have a little sympathy.
I don't know how strict your father is, but if he doesn't want a ham cooked in his house that is his choice.
I would follow the first teacher's directions and cook the turkey.
I also think you should apologize to the second teacher for being rude even if she was rude first. You should not disrespect your teachers.

Merely because my father didn't believe something wouldn't make it off limits for a school subject.
If my father believes that murder is wrong, that's fine. But the fact that I do as well is the deciding factor.
Otherwise, school is for learning. Reinforcing family beliefs can be done in the house - if at all.

If I share my father's belief, I would not do it.
Otherwise, I would do it.
