Sorry to say, but TWF are bargain basement products, with quality and reliability from the bottom rung, too. Toys 'R' Us sell them for kids bedrooms, so that should give you an idea of the quality.

But if it was very cheap (a brand new TWF HD-ready 26" LCD is about £250) and it works for a while, then it's a bargain.

Well, beeing that I've never heard of TWF...that should be your first concern...try consumerreport.com and see if it's a brand/model that has been reviewed and tested. My first instinct would say that unfortunately it's a cheapy tv...hope it really was a bargain...because sometimes more expensive is better...not that it might not be a great tv, but especially with LCD tv's that are sometimes problematic, definately better to go with a recognized brand.
