If you are Catholic, then your religion teaches belief in a hell.

As a Pagan, this is not part of what I believe. Most of us don't believe in a hell nor do we believe in a being called Satan.

My advice is to talk with your priest or other members of your church or community that believe as you do. Ask them their thoughts on hell.

Then, read your Bible and see what it says about it.

Next, study other religions and see what their take is on a hell. Some religions believe in a hell or place of punishment and others don't.

A good website is www.sacred-texts.com. It has a great selelction of many different religious texts.

Good luck and good journeys.

the rich man in Luke16 thought the same thing but he found out different. As so many non-believers will some day find out.

He said he had 5 brethren and asked for someone to go and tell them the truth. To which the reply was, they had Moses and the prophets and they would not listen, why should they listen now?

Well no one wants to listen now but one day they will be like the rich man and wish that they had listened while they had a chance.

: The word “hell” is found in many Bible translations. In the same verses other translations read “the grave,” “the world of the dead,” and so forth. Other Bibles simply transliterate the original-language words that are sometimes rendered “hell”; that is, they express them with the letters of our alphabet but leave the words untranslated. What are those words? The Hebrew she’ohl′ and its Greek equivalent hai′des, which refer, not to an individual burial place, but to the common grave of dead mankind; also the Greek ge′en·na, which is used as a symbol of eternal destruction

Eccl. 9:5, 10: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all . . . All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol,* the place to which you are going.” (If they are conscious of nothing, they obviously feel no pain.) (*“Sheol,” AS, RS, NE, JB; “the grave,” KJ, Kx; “hell,” Dy; “the world of the dead,” TEV.)

Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts* do perish.” (*“Thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “schemes,” JB; “plans,” RS, TEV.)

No hell isn't real. The end is dark with no consciousness.

Is God judging you for your actions?

Hell is very real. It is the miserable life that is created by following religious dogma, instead of your own heart and conscience.

Hell=Grave
Hades is used 11 times in the New Testament. It is translated 10 times as "hell", and 1 time as "grave." Hades means "the place (state) of departed souls, grave, hell." In Acts 2:27,31, apparently, both the righteous and the wicked go to Hades, the same as they both go to Sheol in the Old Testament, for Christ went to hell when He died. In quoting the Old Testament prophecy regarding Christ, the New Testament writer uses Hades. Compare Acts 2:27 with Psalm 16:10. It seems more logical to think of Christ in the grave instead of in a burning hell.

If you aren't Christian - then Yes, it's true. Hell doesn't exist.

If you're an Asatru Heathen you believe in Hella's kingdom - which isn't like the Christian hell.

Sorry, if you're Christian, everyone will tell you it's safer to believe in hell than be sorry and end up there. That's the gig.
