("Walk like a penguin" just sacrificed being reported and the possibility of losing her account to express her love for you and me.) -- she was reported and her question was deleted)

What sacrifice, large or small, have you made for the sake of love?

(I haven't done much, like that, but each time my account is deleted/suspended I still kind of love the person who sniped me. I wish them well, and I pray for their good health and happiness.)

Well, I surrendered my heart to you. Does that count?

Who hasn't?

There are many different levels of "sacrifice". There's the sacrifice you make when getting married, the sacrifices you make when you have children, the sacrifices you make to help friends and family.....the list goes on and on.

It's how you feel about these sacrifices that truely define them. Sure I sacrificed A LOT for my son, and continue to. Is it worth it Hell yeah! I sacrificed a lot for a career once...was it worth it? Nope.

I have sacrificed my self for the love of my children...when I divorced I never remarried and kept the same home so they could go to the same school...Love makes you do alot of things...but in the end, its what you wanted to do anyhow.!!
Nice to see you Uncle!!

Any unselfish person will sacrifice for the ones they love. I sacrifice something very valuable to me daily for my children. Do you know what most people don't think of giving though? Their time. But that's what people need the most.

I walked away.

I still think about her, about laying next to her under a tree, seeing her falling asleep with her head on my chest, feeling her slow breathing, the softness of her hair, the way she fiddled with the silver ring on my hand. I can still feel her against me.

She wasn't in love with me, though I was with her. She was in love with another. It wasn't that simple, but suffice it to say, I sacrificed, and it hurt. But it was right.

Yes all the time. I've given up so much for the one I love. Jobs, friends, money, material items, family functions(to be with him), years of my life. I love him though and I hope to be married to him and have his babies.

Well, I sacrificed my first deep relationship so he could find someone with whom he could have children with because I can't. I broke the engagement after I found out I couldn't have children and he was the only male carrying his surname other than his father. Today I am still good friends with my ex-fiance, his wife and their kids.

I set aside my own emotional needs for the sake of my marriage and my children. I didn't know that kind of love existed until I encountered the Holy Spirit. God is good, all the time!

It's what we do when we love...

Edit: (((((Barbara)))))) You've made my heart ache... I can't imagine having done that for my first love, how much that would have hurt...
