How old is too old to spank? My mom and Stepdad say I'm not to big to get one!!!

People who spank children are sick ***-holes. spakings are idiotic and unnesescesary. No Offense to you, but I can't believe how ******* stupid your parents are.

I would say 13 or 14 .. a child needs to know boundaries. There is a line between spanking and beating. A spanking (even with a belt) is okay in my opinion. Me and my siblings all got spankings with a belt. When time outs, grounding, taking away cherished possessions does not work ... spankings are good. Beating a child until they bleed, are all black and blue .. that is NOT good of course. Parents do need to discipline their children. I would say you are not too big for a spanking if you have done something where you really deserve it.

Your parents must use any means at their disposal to instill the correct behavior patterns into their children. Children cannot navigate our society without morals, ethics, responsibility and respect. If that means instilling respect by means of a well aimed slap on the face or a doubled-up belt across their behinds, then so be it.
If you are dense and not "getting it" by way of lecture, then they will have to treat you like a little kid by spanking you. At your age, you should be embarrassed to get a spanking.
All you gotta do is hold up your end of things... go to school, study, get good grades, stay out of trouble, pick up after yourself and do what few other chores your parents ask you to do. That isn't much to do in return for them meeting all your needs and providing the opportunity for an education.

I know 16 year old boys who have stern "conversations" with their dad behind the woodshed.
I know of a 22 year old amish guy who had a man-to-man with his father and missed a few days of work for it.
My personal opinion is:
As long as the parent is providing room, and food for the kid, and is legally responsible in any way for any thing the kid does then the parent has the right and responsibility to enforce a certain minimum level of discipline.
I know no 25 year old living on their own that doesnt think they had it great when they were 15. Some of them were very bad. Real life is not nearly as easy as you children think. Your school is a joke compared to full-time-work or you dont get food to eat.
Are you too young to be on Yahoo as a 12 year old? I thought the age was 13.

You are not really too old to get spanked until you are 18 and thus legally an adult.

Um Sorry but i hate people who spank their children....it makes me so angry. But if i were to agree with spanking I would say the oldest would have to be 6 or 7.
