My girlfriend and me keep fighting........?

We keep fighting about what I want, like it seems like I always feel like I want more, like she doesn't do enough for me, it'l be like silly things about her giving me a good morning tex or something but the point is that she never does anything without me having to tell her to, I don't know what to do, I love her and I know I can't bear to be without her. It jus seems to a point where everything she does just to keep me happy because of previous arguements. Like I have to fight with her about something then she will do it after, theres nothing she will think of, of her own accord. I've spoken to her about this and she just doesn't give any kind of real input, she just thinks I've made her realise and now she does mean it, but maybe she's jus got it into her head that she has to. But I can't let her go...I'm stuck..help me

If she doesn't do anything to reassure or solidify your relationship, without you having to tell her first - then in my opinion either:

1) You are her first "real" relationship, and she is looking for someone to train or daddy her. Someone to show her the ropes, so to speak. This sometimes takes years and has been known to cause normally strong men to lose their sanity.

2) She doesn't care about you as much as you do her. In this case, leave as soon as possible unless you want your "relationship" to crumble beneath your feet. In many ways, it already has, but love is oh-so blind.

In either case, have a heart to heart talk with her. If she refuses to discuss the substance of your relationship, she obviously isn't ready. And in that case, how can you even see her as a serious partner?
