Have you noticed in your highschool (I don't know if it only exists in Ontario highschools), that administration, and almost the entire student body and faculty are afraid to use the phrase "Merry Christmas". I am agnostic, but I used to be Christian so I will always be biased, but a few friends have mentioned the same observances. I'm not rascist or anything such, but I don't understand why everyone is so willing to say "Happy Hanukkah" or "Happy Kwanzaa", and so afraid to also say "Merry Christmas"

Lets try the fact that Hanukkah and Kwanzaa actually fall at the end of December. Jesus Christ was not born at this time. Emperor Constantine just couldn't allow the Pagans their Winter Solstice or the Romans their Saturnalia, So he decided in 325 AD to make it a Christian holiday (Birthday of Jesus).

Why not just emcompass them all by saying Happy Holidays?
It's simple and covers all the bases without offending anyone who doesn't share in the christian belief.
