(We are both 16) My friend and I weighed our selves. We're the same height and wear the same size clothes. We are both 5'5, both wear size 5. She weighs 117 and I weigh 129!! I mean, I'm more athletic than her. I lose more calories, she just stays home and watches tv!!! Can you please explain this to me! Should I eat less??

Size and weight are different. Is your bones structure the same (bones weigh something, if your bone structure is more you will weigh more) and also muscle weighs more than fat. So if you are active and in shape, you have more muscle mass and that can weigh more.

Don't look at how much you weigh, what's important is that you lead a healthy life. Never compare yourself to others, very bad idea.

If you are 5'5" and weigh 129 that's pretty good. She weighs less because she probably has no muscle mass and is more fat, not healthy. In a few years that fat will begin to really take on more weight and be bad for her if she does not start to exercise and eat healthy.

Muscle weighs more than fat. You are more active than your friend so you have more muscle which weighs more. Also, you should think more about your body fat percentage than actual pounds or size. If you are very active you probably may have a low body fat percentage. For example 16% while your friend who sits on her but does not burn fat so she could have 30% body fat. So...even though you both wear the same size and you weigh more she could be considered the "fat" one because she is only made up of fat, while you have muscle.

Muscle weighs more than fat. At 16, girls in my class, weighed magical numbers, like 117, 113. I was skinnier than them, but I weighed 141 lbs. Some girls were in shock, but what is there to worry about? You are probably healthier.

Some people's bones weight more, people are various body shapes, and muscle weighs more than fat.

No you don't need to lose weight. I always say ignore the number on the scale and focus on what your body looks like and how healthy you feel.

You said it yourself, you are more athletic. More muscle will add to your weight but you could still be a smaller size.
